Day Retreat Review:
« Not very long ago three girlfriends and I shared an experience that was beyond amazing from start to finish. I will try to describe the magic of the day but words don’t always convey the emotion in one’s heart. So I only hope I can do justice to this beautiful woman who shared with us, more than her gift but also her place of calm.
Please visualize as best you can what I will now try to put to words
The morning is sunny, warm and fresh with the promise of an adventure. We four ladies load into the car and take the new ferry across to Heriot Bay on Quadra Island. We happen to catch an earlier ferry than planned and as we arrive on Quadra we notice there is a Saturday morning market place happening along with a group providing upbeat market music. It was so inviting we decided to poke around and enjoy the atmosphere and chatter with the vendors and other market shoppers. After some time we connect with Sarah to let her know we are on our way. We had never been to Sarah’s studio before and as we pull into her property and park the car she is there warmly greeting each of us. This is my second time meeting this beautiful woman.
So picture this. There is a very old apple tree (we find out later it is 100 years old) and underneath it there is a picnic table with fresh cut flowers on a beautiful patterned tablecloth with plates and cutlery all set up for us. We feel so privileged and appreciative to be here. We head up to Sarah’s studio in the loft of the barn, which is also 100 years old if I remember correctly. The energy in this space is positive, soft, calm, and open. I can feel that energy filling me up and I love what I’m feeling. We sit and share for a few moments and Sarah shared her plan for our retreat. It was turning into such a stunning spring day so we walked around her property and enjoyed the smells like the grass and flowers that were in bloom. And the sounds of the birds and insects all very busy. We actually had the time to listen and enjoy the simplicity of the moment. Sarah then served us a beautiful meal made by her with greens from her garden and eggs from her chickens.
After lunch and sharing time together we went to her studio and settled in for the sound bath part of our retreat.
This was my second sound bath journey with Sarah. A sound bath experience is different for everyone but I believe if you are open you will receive the magic. There are no words for me to share that accurately describe the emotion in my heart and throughout my whole being.
I know this is very long but I truly hope you will try one of Sarah’s retreats at Sound Seed Yoga studio. It is amazing, rustic, personal and so uplifting.
Thank you Sarah for such an experience. I will be back!!!!
